The main contractor for this luxury hotel project in Tower Hamlets, East London, struggled to find an experienced and confident facade specialist sub-contractor, who would design and install a complex, bespoke roof and facade design, within a very short contractual time frame. An alternative solution was required.  

 

With the experience of a specialist steel and metal works contractor and the use of a sophisticated parametric software, ROA prepared the base of the fabrication drawings for the primary and secondary steel structures and the bespoke panel roof and facade design. The aluminium panels are perforated with a fluid pattern, creating a multi-facetted screen for the roof and infill extension to this Listed Building. Owing to the strategy of using a highly advanced software, the etched glass screens to the courtyards and the laser-cut roof and facade panels were installed to an astonishing precision and well within the envisaged time frame.
